XXL Prescription Glasses/Sunglasses for Big Heads, 165mm
Polarized / Polycarbonate 1.58 (included) / Super Anti Reflective (helps resist oils and smudges)
This review is well long over due. It's been three weeks since I've had these, and I must say, it sure feels damn good to wear a pair of sunglasses that actually fits well on my wide head/face. I wear a size 8 baseball cap, and I can never find the right frames for either my eyeglasses or sunglasses. I have to go through extensive research, through so many retailers and websites, that the whole thing becomes overwhelming and the shopping experience just sucks. Even if you think you've found them, you try them after receiving them within 2-3 weeks, just to immediately file a return/refund because it didn't fit well.
I founded Faded Days from randomly clicking every online retailer that claims to have sunglasses for people like me, I was sold on FD because they had the size I needed after checking out their "Fitment Guide" option at the top of the website. Finally, a shopping experience that isn't complicated.
I think the best thing about this whole purchase is the level of customer service. I reached out, and Ben went above and beyond with me to make sure I can confidently and comfortably find the right pair. He really earned my business by sending me samples to try on, and all I needed to do was send them back once I found the one. He went even further with his support by allowing me to purchase the frames in the glossy black finish when that option isn't available. I really appreciated that a lot, and I wouldn't have cancelled my order if he wasn't able to do that for me. Ben is super awesome, and he'll work with you if he's able to make things happen. He really caters to the needs of customers, and that really shows how successful Faded Days is becoming.
The frames are pretty solid, and I can't find anything wrong with the prescription on my lenses. Also, for all those that are curious about vision insurance. It really depends who your provider is, but if you file an out-of-network claim, then you might get some money back. I did that through VSP, and I was able to get $100. Sure it wasn't the whole thing, but $100 back is a win!
